Attention-deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that can go undetected, particularly in the absence of a learning disability. Symptoms include attentional problems, disorganization, and sometimes hyperactivity, although this is not a requirement. It can often persist into adulthood, and although these individuals may learn to cope with their difficulties, ADHD can cause significant disruption in social, academic and workplace functioning. Neuropsychological assessments for ADHD can provide diagnostic clarity, as well as an understanding of the individual's cognitive strengths, which can help with the development of coping strategies.
Psychoeducational assessments can be particularly useful to identify or rule out a learning disability, and identify an individual's cognitive strengths and weaknesses. Dr. Greer seeks to provide assessments with report findings and recommendations relevant and useful in the "real world", i.e. at school or the workplace, in social settings, or anywhere else that is important to you.
